TAX REFUND ALERT!
TAX REFUND ALERT!

Even though it has been just about a month since you came to my "Lunch and Learn
Seminar" at Summit on April 3, 2008, there is IMPORTANT NEW NEWS about your
Economic Stimulus Tax Refund.  That's why I sent you this email asking you to click this link
on my website.  Your email had a brief overview.  Here, I provide you with the details.

TAX REFUND ALERT #1 --  SOME ELECTRONIC FILERS WON'T RECEIVE ELECTRONIC
REFUNDS

So, you filed your tax return electronically and are counting the days until the government's
rebate check materializes in your bank account?  Well, you might need to count a little
longer.  Some electronic filers will have to wait until the paper checks hit the mail -- starting
no later than May 16 and continuing through July 11 -- to get their $600-a-person slice of
government largesse.  The reasons are a little hard to follow -- this is the IRS, after all -- but
the bottom line is this: The IRS will not direct-deposit a rebate check for people who filed an
electronic return through a private tax preparer such as H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt and
got a loan in anticipation of a refund. Or for people who used a program such as TurboTax
and agreed to have their online-filing fee deducted from their refund.

So how, then, will you get your money?  Read on below after this brief message . . . .
So how, then, will you get your money?  Your checks will be, as they say, in the mail.  According to the Orlando Sentinel,
Gloria Sutton, an IRS spokeswoman in Florida, explains that in these cases, the IRS cannot send payments electronically,
but instead has to convert those payments to paper checks.  That means some electronic filers will have to wait weeks
before the money arrives.  Electronic rebates began May 2 and continue through May 16.  The dates for when electronic
transfers are made or checks are sent are governed by the last two digits of your Social Security number. Generally, single
taxpayers can expect $600; married couples get twice that. Each child younger than 18 qualifies for $300.
